Need your car servicing? At A.G Motors we offer specialist car servicing to suit all vehicle models and makes.
So, whatever your vehicle, we can provide you with a service that’s right for you, your vehicle, and your budget.A.G Motors are also able to service new cars to maintain warranties.
MOT
It is important to remember that an MOT pass certificate only confirms that at the time of the inspection your vehicle meets the minimum legal standards as provided by VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency).
If you are unsure when your MOT expires our friendly staff will be more than happy to check this for you. Also if the MOT is carried out at A.G Motors we send out a courtesy reminder before your MOT is due in order to avoid our customers driving without an MOT.

- Minibuses and Ambulances up to 12 passenger seats
- Taxis
- Goods Vehicles not exceeding 3000 kg Design Gross Weight (DGW)
- Motor Caravans
- Dual Purpose Vehicles
- Goods Vehicles over 3000 kg up to and including 3500 kg DGW
If a vehicle is presented with a manufacturer’s plate and a ‘Ministry plate’ the weights to be used are those on the ‘Ministry plate’.
Our MOT Checklist
Apart from the overall condition of the car bodywork and structure which is extensively checked during an MOT Test, we also check the condition of:

Having a certificate is no guarantee that your car is mechanically sound, in fact the condition of the engine, clutch and gearbox do not form part of the examination.
Diagnostics
At A.G Motors our highly qualified auto technicians are trained in solving engine management faults, they can provide you with a comprehensive and professional vehicle diagnostics service using the very latest computerised systems.
A.G Motors invest each year to ensure all our diagnostic equipment is up to date enabling us to diagnose all makes and models.
With years of experience we can often very quickly find the source of the problem when warning lights appear on your vehicle’s dashboard.
We can’t stress how important it is to call us to book an appointment when you see a warning light as continuing to drive in the hope it will go away will more than likely result in major damage to your car and greater bills to fix the problem.
Repairs
At A.G Motors we offer all types of repairs from minor bulb replacements to engine rebuilds. We can also offer minor body repairs onsite.
Our highly qualified technicians will assess your vehicle first and provide quotes based on your needs before any work is carried out.
Air Conditioning
As your air conditioning system ages, you may notice the freshness and ability to keep cold deteriorating. Most air conditioning systems need servicing every 2 years.
We offer both types of gasses – 134A and 1234YF.
At A.G Motors we can offer a range of services for your air conditioning from simple gas recharge to repairing leaks.
Tyres
At A.G Motors we stock tyres from all the major manufacturers and our expert auto technicians are always on hand to advise you if there are any special characteristics in the tyres to help you choose the right one for your car, caravan or even motorbike.
